Staff submit the hours for the pay period. A manager approves or declines. An approved timesheet locks. Shiftbrook records the hours and does not calculate pay.

On Timesheets, Submit my hours sends the current period. The row shows Draft, Submitted, Approved or Declined.

A manager approves or declines a submitted sheet. Approved timesheets lock. A comment is part of the decision when the flow asks for one.
Download CSV
Download CSV saves the hours you can see. The download does not send them to Xero, and hours are not dropped if payroll is not connected.
Xero Payroll UK
On the paid plan, approved hours can be sent to Xero Payroll UK once a UK Xero organisation is connected. Other countries download the CSV.
